Voting begins today as people come out to elect a new president.
Seven candidates including the incumbent Faure Gnassingbe are vying for the country's top job.
But will one of the six opposition candidates be able to wrest power from The Rally of the Togolese People, which has been in power for the past 43 years?
Paul Bakibinga spoke to our reporter in Lome, Ebow Godwin and asked him whether voting had started yet.
