A new electoral commission has been announced in the Ivory Coast after discussions went on late into the night.
The new head of the commission is Youssouf Bakayoko, who until recently was the country's foreign minister, and importantly, a member of the opposition PDCI party.
The previous candidate, Robert Mambé came from the same party, but lost his job earlier this month when President Laurent Gbagbo accused him of fraud and dissolved the commission.
So how much of a step forward is this?
Network Africa's Bernard Otieno spoke to John James, our correspondent in Abidjan.
