In a landmark visit, French President Nicolas Sarkozy met his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame today.
This is the first visit to Rwanda by a French president since the 1994 genocide.
It aims to further cement the diplomatic ties that were restored in November, three years after they broke down because of the arrest warrants that accused those close to President Kagame of a role in the assassination of the then president, Juvenal Habyarimana.
