Now with just over 100 days to go before the continent's first World Cup, preparations in South Africa are still attracting much attention.
Yesterday, a senior FIFA official stated that if the World Cup were to start today - well, very simply, South Africa wouldn't be ready.
But the World Cup is on track, despite the endless questions over issues like crime, stadiums and transport.
Since Monday, about 20 national coaches have been gathered in the resort of Sun City attending a FIFA workshop.
So what do these key men, make of Africa's first World Cup host?
