The United States government says Nigeria would have to meet a number of conditions before it could be removed from the list of 14 "countries of interest" on its terrorism watch list.
Nigeria was listed on the US terror watch list after the botched bombing of an American airline on Christmas day last year by 23 year-old Nigerian, Farouk Umar AbdulMutallab.
Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, revealed the conditions given by the US, during a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs. BBC's Chris Ewokor reports.
