Today saw Vice President Goodluck Jonathan begin his first working day as acting President of Nigeria.
He has been chairing a cabinet meeting, just one day after the country's National Assembly endorsed his position.
This latest development comes after several weeks of political turmoil caused by the absence of ailing president, Umaru Musa Yar' Adua.
The decision by parliament overturned an earlier one by the cabinet that had resolved to keep the president in office.
