Guinea's interim leader, General Sekouba Konate yesterday announced the establishment of the National Transitional Council (CNT).
The major role of the new body will be to organise the promised elections and to oversee the transition process returning power to a democratically elected government.
The woman responsible for managing this process is a former trade unionist.
