A Curfew has been imposed and police and paramilitary roadblocks set up in Guinea's south eastern city of Nzerekore following three days of sectarian violence.
At least two people are known to have died and scores injured after Christians and Muslims clashed in the town.
Nzerekore is over 500 kilometres from Conakry, close to the Liberian border and with poor communications, details are only now emerging of events over the past three days.
Police and paramilitary roadblocks were set up on Sunday and people were barred from moving around the city.
Our reporter Alhassan Sillah has been monitoring the situation from neighbouring Sierra Leone.
