If you were asked to name what you thought was one of the most famous movie themes of all-time, surely the James Bond theme would be high on your list. The classic electric guitar riff was first heard when Sean Connery bowed as 007 in 1960's first ever James Bond movie - Dr No. But the memorable piece of music composed by Monty Norman has an interesting history. Norman first wrote the classic tune - initially called 'Bad Sign, Good Sign' - for a musical version of VS Naipaul's novel A House for Mr Biswas. After he was hired to provide music for Dr No, he reworked the song as the movie theme tune and the rest as they, was history.
