I was at Chicago TARDIS this last weekend and heard Colin Baker rhapsodize about the production and all its 21st century touches, such as Jonathan and Mina communicating via e-mail. He also told of the people in charge of the costumes asking him not to stand so close when he stakes Lucy because they were fed up with all the blood getting all over his outfit.I wish I could have seen the play; it sounds very good indeed. Maybe they'll bring it here to the States someday.As to something said in this review, have we actual documentation from Bram Stoker himself saying that he meant his book to be in any way about sexual repression? That seems an awfully "modern" notion.

I saw the performance when it was down in Southend. It was enjoyable, even though it was highly modernised. Parts were scary, but I found myself laughing a lot too.

I saw the play as part of my Drama course, but enojyed it greatly. Although it was modernised, Bryony did amazingly well to keep the atmosphere and stay true to the original novel. Wonderful cast, wonderful effects, a splendid way to spend the night at the theatre, and everyone involved is to be congratulated for such a wonderful adaption.

Saw it in Cardiff and enjoyed it immensely. It's not scary in the blood and gore sense but it's very sinister. Great set, great special effects, great acting. Colin Baker, Hywel Simons, Richard Bremmer and Ben Keaton stand out in the memory. Go see it...

I saw it on tuesday 26th april at the theatre royal in plymouth, and i thought it was fantastic. one of the most inventive and original pieces of drama i have seen for a long time, and some great black humour. i urge anyone who can to go and see it.

Colin Baker as Van Helsing. Colin is a great actor, although I cant quite imagine a large figure playing the part.
