Dev experiments with the sounds of amps, guitar pedals and loop pedals, as well as demonstrating how you can integrate a tablet or smartphone into a performance. Tim then shows how you can evolve these basic principles by creating a live loop, adding effects and re-sampling the loop, to build up bigger and more experimental sounds.
Teacher Notes
Use music software or hardware to create a piece of music. Students could be provided with optional starting points such as a bass line, chord progression or note pattern. Compositions could use MIDI instruments and possibly have vocals recorded on top, if the resources are available.
