Patterson's side earned the draw thanks to Levi Reid's injury-time goal
Oxford United boss Darren Patterson praised the character of his side that fought back from having Luke Foster sent off to draw 1-1 at Ebbsfleet.
Levi Reid netted late on in only the second game the U's have scored in.
Patterson told BBC Oxford: "It's been fantastic for us. We have been up against it yet again. And yet again our players stood up to the test.
"We have been unlucky not to get something from our last two away games. This time we got what we deserved."
Foster was shown his second red card of the season late in the first half for fouling Craig Stone - as a result of the controversial dismissal he is now suspended for four games.
