Harvey delighted by Cup progress

Forest Green boss Jim Harvey is now in his second full season at the New Lawn

Forest Green Rovers boss Jim Harvey confessed he would have taken an FA Cup first round replay before Kaid Mohamad's late winner at Team Bath.

Mohamad's header earned a home second round tie against Football League opposition, either Barnet or Rochdale.

And Harvey told BBC Gloucestershire: "I'm delighted to get out of the way. It was about determination and guts.

"Team Bath were dangerous from set pieces and, when they did get through, our keeper Terry Burton did well."

The victory was Rovers' third in their last four matches, all of them in cup competitions. But they are still without a win in the Blue Square Premier since the end of August.

They now have a run of home games to try and improve their league position, starting against Altrincham on Saturday - as well as 20,000 to bank from the FA Cup prize fund for Sunday's win.

"I was pleased to get the job done and it's a decent draw," said Harvey. "And we now have a nice tie to look forward to."
