Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp helped West Ham counterpart Alan Pardew out of a sticky situation when the pair were on holiday in Spain over the summer.

"The cash machines weren't working and I didn't have any money for an ice cream for my children," said Pardew. "Luckily Harry was there. He granted me 100 euros for my children to have an ice cream." (Daily Mirror)

Croatian tennis star Goran Ivanisevic, who started supporting West Brom when they dramatically survived relegation from the Premiership in 2005, has given his backing to new coach Tony Mowbray.
