Braintree Town have signed striker Cliff Akurang from fellow Blue Square Bet South side Maidenhead United.
The 30-year-old joins as cover for Jamie Guy, who broke his leg at Eastleigh earlier this month.
Akurang has also played for Dagenham & Redbridge, Barnet and Rushden & Diamonds.
Braintree visit Essex rivals Chelmsford City on Monday, and will move nine points clear at the top of the table with a win.
