Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live

At this moment this match up is really suiting Sabalenka, it is making her feel good and she will come off the court feeling really happy. I don't think Kasatkina is doing anything to trouble her.

  2. Sabalenka holdspublished at 13:55 BST

    Sabalenka 5-0 Kasatkina*

A rare lapse from Aryna Sabalenka as she double-faults to give Daria Kasatkina a chance to force deuce.

Sabalenka makes amends next point as she works Kasatkina wide before coming into the net to volley into the open court to hold.

After only 20 minutes, Kasatkina is serving to stay in the set.

Kasatkina does not have the firepower to go swing for swing with Sabalenka, so she's got to try to be disruptive and not overpowering.

  4. Sabalenka breaks againpublished at 13:52 BST

    *Sabalenka 4-0 Kasatkina

Aryna Sabalenka has settled very quickly into this match and an inch-perfect drop shot brings up two break points.

Daria Kasatkina takes a deep breath before her serve and although she saves the first, she's unable to rescue the second as Sabalenka gets the double break.

The Belarusian top seed is making this look easy so far.

  5. Sabalenka holdspublished at 13:48 BST

    Sabalenka 3-0 Kasatkina*

Daria Kasatkina manages to get a foothold in the game at 30-30 but Aryna Sabalenka forces game point, before a strong first serve sees the Belarusian hold.

So far so good for Sabalenka, who is chasing her first title at Roland Garros.

  6. Sabalenka breakspublished at 13:43 BST

    *Sabalenka 2-0 Kasatkina

After going 40-0 down, Aryna Sabalenka fights back to force deuce before earning the first break point of the match.

Daria Kasatkina gets the better of a 10-shot rally for deuce again, but Sabalenka brings up a second break point with a forehand winner.

This time the Belarusian top seed gets the break as Kasatkina can't get to a powerful backhand.

  7. Sabalenka holdspublished at 13:39 BST

It's the perfect start for top seed and world number one Aryna Sabalenka as she holds to love in the first game of her third-round match against Daria Kasatkina.

    Cerundolo 2-1 Landaluce*

Jannik Sinner's conqueror Juan Manuel Cerundolo is under way in his third-round match against Spain's Martin Landaluce.

Cerundolo will be hoping he fares better than his older brother Francisco, who exited the tournament earlier this morning.

Aryna Sabalenka is the top seed in the women's singles as the world number looks to add a French Open title to her four Grand Slam triumphs.

The 28-year-old Belarusian is hoping to go one better than last year, where she suffered defeat in the final to Coco Gauff as the American came from a set down to win her first title at Roland Garros.

Sabalenka's third-round opponent today is unseeded Australian Daria Kasatkina, who was a semi-finalist in Paris in 2022.

Kasatkina is number 53 in the world and is in decent form having won the Catalonia Open earlier this month, which is a WTA 125 event.

Amanda Anisimova reached finals at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2025 and is hoping to take that extra step to a maiden Grand Slam title.

The 24-year-old American got to the semi-finals of the French Open as a teenager in 2019 and that remains her best-ever result at Roland Garros.

Her third-round opponent is French player Diane Parry, who has equalled her best run at her home major.

Naomi Osaka claims victory as Iva Jovic can't keep the ball in play.

At 15-15 Iva Jovic's forehand clips the top of the net and it dribbles over into Naomi Osaka's side of the court.

What a moment to have luck on your side.

The next point, Osaka clips the top of the net and also wins the point, to even the score.

Jovic then goes wide with a forehand to give match point to Osaka.

  15. Osaka holds to lovepublished at 13:03 BST

    *Jovic 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-3) 4-5 Osaka

Speedy hold from Naomi Osaka who wraps up the game with two aces.

That could not have come at a better time for the four-time Grand Slam-winner.

  16. Jovic holdspublished at 13:01 BST

    Jovic 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-3) 4-4 Osaka*

Naomi Osaka practises her backhand in between points but it's to no avail as Iva Jovic punishes the shot with a forehand winner.

That was a solid hold from the American and she has the chance to put some pressure back on Osaka's serve now as we enter a crucial stage of the match.

Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka is aiming to reach the fourth round at the French Open for the first time but she's going to have to edge a deciding set against American 17th seed Iva Jovic to do it.

The Japanese 16th seed had a chance at deuce in that last game with Jovic, but overcooked her forehand across court as the American went on to hold.
