    Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard couldn't have played a more perfect set of tennis. He was chasing the scoreline throughout but he was brilliant, the way he served out that set. So calm to serve out the set the way he has just done.

    Well that was so impressive. What a moment of tension and excitement for the crowd. The way Mpetshi Perricard hung in there and kept bounding back to give himself another chance at it.

    Djokovic was challenging that one-handed backhand but it stood up to the test. That was a really exciting point.

    But oh my goodness, that smash into the corner by Mpetshi Perricard, no hesitation, he nailed it. No wonder the reaction from the crowd. They loved it.

    The biggest upset of the day! Seventh seed Taylor Fritz is out after losing to fellow American Nishesh Basavareddy.

    The world number 148, who received a wildcard for the French Open, triumphed 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (9-11) 6-1.

    Fritz, a US Open finalist, has been out with a knee injury and missed the majority of the clay-court swing, so his attention will now turn to grass and Wimbledon, where he reached the semi-finals last year.
