Evie Wills earns her ninth Scotland cap

Sale Sharks centre Evie Wills replaces the injured Emma Orr as Scotland make just one change from their win over Wales as England visit Murrayfield in the Six Nations on Saturday.

Highly regarded Trailfinders wing Fran McGhie is only considered fit enough for the bench on her return from injury.

That means Shona Campbell, who scored her first Scotland try in the 24-19 win in Cardiff, continues on the left flank.

Montpellier back row Rachel McLachlan is also among the replacements after her return to the squad.

Glasgow Warriors scrum-half Rianna Darroch could make her debut as a replacement.

Warriors' Emily Coubrough, who earned her first cap in Cardiff, keeps the number eight jersey.

It had already been announced that influential Bristol Bears centre Orr will miss the rest of the Six Nations after picking up a knee injury against Wales.

Scotland head coach Sione Fukofuka called up Montpellier's Holly McIntyre as a replacement, but she does not make the bench.

Scotland aim to use energy from record crowd

Saturday's game in Edinburgh has already smashed the record number of tickets sold for a Scottish women's sporting event, with more than 30,000 fans due to attend.

"We really want to use that energy," Fukofuka said of the crowd. "Use that support to go out there and express ourselves.

"We want to perform, we want to play to the potential that we have. We started the championship off with four points, but we didn't quite play to our potential. That was a bit disappointing in some ways. There's a few moving parts that didn't quite connect last week.

"This week we've got an opportunity at home to step into that pressure and really enjoy the chance to go and perform.

"If we can get our set-piece platform to give us the opportunity to play our front foot game, get through the phase count and really unlock some of those threats that we have, we're pretty confident that we'll be in a position to then take advantage of some of those opportunities."

England beat Scotland 40-8 on their way to World Cup glory on home soil last year.

Scotland last enjoyed success in this fixture in 1999 and the visitors have not lost a Six Nations match since 2018.

"We've spoken about just embracing the occasion, understanding that it is an occasion, that we're very lucky to have the opportunity to have that many people support us and to play at Murrayfield, and use that to uplift," Fukofuka added.

"There's no weight on our shoulders. Obviously, there's a level of expectation that we bring, but we also know that the crowd is there to support us and they want to see the players play well."

Wills recovers from lost-contract bombshell

BBC Scotland's chief sports writer

Wills really is the story here. The centre was one of the unfortunate ones who lost their contract after the World Cup.

But, here she is, resolute as anything and in the starting line-up for the big one against England.

Her inclusion is down to the injury to Emma Orr, but not just that.

Wills has shown huge determination and class to keep herself in the hunt at Test level after the bombshell of the lost contract, something that will surely have been rectified by now.

McGhie returns from injury and she'll start on the bench - what a brilliant operator to have in reserve.

The same for McLachlan - 57 caps and a world of experience. She'll be an important character off the bench when the inevitable English waves start crashing in on Scotland.
