Castleford sign Wolves winger Thewlis on loan

Jake Thewlis scored two tries for Warrington on his only first-team appearance of the season

Castleford Tigers have signed Warrington Wolves winger Jake Thewlis on a month's loan.
The 20-year-old, whose older brother Josh is a first-team regular at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, has previously had loans at North Wales Crusaders, London Broncos and Salford Red Devils and made his Warrington debut in 2024.
He racked up 12 tries in 17 appearances in all competitions for Warrington last season but his only first-team outing this season came in the Challenge Cup win over Goole Vikings, when he scored two tries.
Cas lie second bottom of Super League with two wins from their opening six games and director of rugby Chris Chester said:, external "We are down on troops in the outside backs and being able to bring someone in of the quality of Jake is huge for us."
