Keenan Palasia will be out for up to six weeks with a foot injury in a blow for Super League leaders Leeds Rhinos.

Palasia, 29, missed the win over Catalans Dragons on Saturday and coach Brad Arthur has revealed the Samoa prop will be out until the end of next month.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's game at Castleford Tigers, Arthur told BBC Radio Leeds: "Keenan, definitely won't play.

"He'll probably miss six weeks, I reckon, with his foot injury. It's a blow, but it's an opportunity for other guys.

"It's a blow more for Keenan, you know, because he was playing really well and he was starting to really insert himself as one of the best front rows, if not the best front row, in the competition.

"He was really integral in terms of our starts. Look, he's disappointed, but he'll work hard and get himself ready to be right within that six-week time frame."

Palasia has been a key player for Leeds since he arrived from NRL side Gold Coast Titans before the start of last season.

He has made 48 appearances so far, scoring two tries.
