Wakefield Trinity coach Daryl Powell has confirmed Australian hooker Tyson Smoothy will leave the Super League club at the end of the season for personal reasons.
Smoothy, 27, only joined Wakefield this season from NRL side Brisbane Broncos and has two years left on his Trinity contract.
"It's cut and dried really," Powell told BBC Radio Leeds. "That's been done for a few weeks now, we've moved on from it. He knows what's happening, we know what's happening.
"I think that's important so he can settle down and just get on with his rugby.
"There's no point chasing something you know, it's family related. I think he's enjoying his time here for sure, but you know sometimes there are bigger things at play and it is what it is."
