Liam Hood has signed a one-year extension to his contract at Castleford Tigers.
The 34-year-old Scotland international is the second player in a week that the West Yorkshire club have tied down for next season, with Ashton Golding signing a two-year extension on Tuesday.
Hood scored four tries in 17 appearances in all competitions last season and director of rugby Chris Chester marked him out, external as "an experienced player who brings composure, leadership and a winning mentality to our squad".
Hood added: "I was frustrated with how I personally went last year with injuries and not finding my best form, and also how we went as a team as I knew we could be so much better, but the club has made some great signings."
