West Bromwich Albion have released former captain Jed Wallace and striker Daryl Dike following the end of the Championship season.

Wallace, 32, has been with the Baggies since joining from Millwall in the summer of 2022 and went on to make 150 appearances and scored 16 goals.

American forward Dike arrived at The Hawthorns in January 2022 but has had an injury-hit three-and-a-half-seasons in the West Midlands.

Hamstring, thigh and Achilles issues restricted the 25-year-old to 68 appearances in his time with Albion, with only 25 of those starts.

He scored 11 times and played his last game for the club in the final match of the season at Sheffield Wednesday.

Also being let go at the end of their contract is goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith.

The 30-year-old signed from Derby County two years ago going on to make 20 appearances.

He spent the second half of this season on loan at Middlesbrough.

Albion, meanwhile, have offered new contracts to strikers Karlan Grant and Josh Maja and goalkeeper Max O'Leary.

Grant joined the Baggies for £15m from Huddersfield in October 2020 and has scored 35 goals in 174 games for the club.

Maja has scored 19 times from 81 appearances since arriving from Bordeaux in August 2023.

O'Leary was brought in on a short-term deal from Bristol City in January as then-boss Eric Ramsay's first signing and quickly established himself as the number one goalkeeper, making 16 appearances in the Championship.
