Port Vale have added more firepower to their squad for the coming season after agreeing a two-year deal for forward Max Watters.
The 27-year-old moves to Burslem on a free transfer following the end of his contract with Barnsley to become Vale's ninth summer signing.
Watters spent last season on loan in the Scottish Premiership with Dundee United where he scored five times in 32 appearances.
After starting out at Doncaster, Watters had spells with Crawley, MK Dons, Cardiff and two stints with Barnsley, turning a loan spell at Oakwell in the first part of 2023 into a permanent move that summer.
Watters joins Onel Hernandez,Mo Faal and Oliver Lynch in boosting Vale's attacking options after they scored only 36 times in 46 games - the lowest total in League One - last season as they were relegated.
