Charlton sign Skipp and young winger Nkeng

Charlton have signed Leicester midfielder Oliver Skipp on a season-long loan deal and AFC Wimbledon winger Junior Nkeng for an undisclosed fee.

Skipp, 25, has played 101 times in the Premier League for the Foxes and Tottenham, while also having Championship experience with Norwich City.

He started Leicester's first two games in League One this season but was sent off in the second match, and has just completed a three-game ban.

Charlton boss Nathan Jones told the club's website, external: "He's a player with wonderful experience, with wonderful quality. He's a real marquee signing for us."

Nkeng, 19, was named AFC Wimbledon's young player of the year last season and has agreed a three-year contract.

"Every player wants to go as high as possible," Nkeng told Charlton's website, external.

"The Championship is a very tough league and it's a step that I think I'm ready for."

The Addicks have made 11 signings this summer, with Skipp and Nkeng joining Ivan Mesík, Billy Koumetio, Karlan Grant, Danny McNamara, Millenic Alli, Nathaniel Chalobah, Timothy Ouma, Arthur Okonkwo and Tyler Bindon as new arrivals.
