Swindon centre-back Ryan Tafazolli has suffered a broken elbow which puts his participation for the rest of this season in doubt.
Tafazolli picked up the injury during the 2-1 win against Walsall on 6 April, despite playing the full 90 minutes.
He missed Saturday's defeat by Colchester and is expected to see a specialist on Wednesday to determine the nature of the fracture and his recovery time.
Swindon are fifth in the table, three points off Cambridge in third, and host Accrington Stanley on Saturday before a trip to Grimsby.
They also play promotion rivals Chesterfield in their final three matches of the regular campaign.
