After a flat friendly defeat by Japan, Scotland move on to face Ivory Coast in Liverpool on Tuesday.

Head coach Steve Clarke said at the outset of this camp that he was minded to give game time to a lot of players across the two matches and has promised several changes for the meeting with the Africans.

A strong team started against the Japanese, with Al-Ettifaq centre-half Jack Hendry and Middlesbrough forward Tommy Conway perhaps the only two surprise starters.

Key players Andy Robertson, John McGinn and Scott McTominay were all withdrawn in the second half, so how much game time might they get in Liverpool?

What of Billy Gilmour, Ryan Christie and Findlay Curtis, who all made substitute appearances? And what about Che Adams and Lennon Miller, who were idle?

Of course, it's not just about the formation and how Scotland approach it against a side who have moved two places the rankings to 35th in the world after easing aside South Korea 4-0 in Milton Keynes on Saturday.

Clarke's side have dropped two places, and are now five places behind in 40th, after toiling against Japan.
