Woking sign midfielder Sohna from Hereford

Woking have completed the signing of Harrison Sohna on a two-year deal from National League North side Hereford.

The 23-year-old midfielder is reunited with boss Jermain Defoe, whom he briefly played alongside while at Sunderland.

Sohna, who started his career at Aston Villa, only joined Hereford in February after a stint at Cheltenham Town but has now made the move to Kingfield Stadium ahead of the new National League season.

"Harrison was brought to our attention in January whilst at Cheltenham, we couldn't do anything then, but I was really impressed that he went to Hereford, got games, and performed at a good level," Woking director of football Jody Brown said.

"He was in the Sunderland squad with Jermain at one point, and he identified him as a player that could add something to our group, so it's great that we were able to make it happen.

"Left-footed, loads of energy, a dead-ball specialist, can operate in deep areas building play, but equally as comfortable playing as an eight and making those forward runs and being a goal threat."

Sohna is Woking's third signing in as many days after the club confirmed the additions of Josh Ayres from Rotherham United and Liam Dulson from Maidenhead United earlier this week.
