Luton Town midfielder Jordan Clark has signed a new 'long-term' contract to keep him at Kenilworth Road.

The 32-year-old joined the Hatters on a free transfer from Accrington Stanley in 2020 and three years later scored in the Championship play-off final against Coventry City at Wembley as the club earned promotion to the Premier League.

Clark has been named Luton's player of the year in the past two seasons, having stayed at the club following back-to-back relegations, and scored 12 goals in League One last season as his side narrowly missed reaching the play-offs by a point.

On his return to Wembley in April, Clark provided an assist as Luton came from a goal down to beat Stockport 3-1 to win the Vertu Trophy.

The club have not disclosed the exact length of his new contract.

"I'm so happy to get this sorted. I might be a Yorkshireman, but I'm an adopted Lutonian, and I've made my home here, it feels like my club," Clark told the Hatters website., external

"The supporters and the people who work here have made me feel that way and I couldn't leave until I help get this club back into the Championship."

Luton boss Jack Wilshere added: "Getting this one over the line is a massive deal for us as a club. It was one of my biggest priorities this summer.

"Clicker's performances on the pitch speak for themselves. His goals, assists and quality on the ball mean we always want him out there for as long as we can, because he makes things happen and produces big moments."
