Hamilton Academical have announced that a winding-up petition lodged by HMRC in relation to a legacy debt will now be "formally withdrawn".
The Scottish League 1 side say the move marks "another significant step forward" as they aim to stabilise the club's future.
Hamilton had previously confirmed the tax authority's move and said the liability had arisen under the club's previous ownership.
They fully expected the petition to be withdrawn after providing HMRC with proof of "imminent incoming funds" and proposing a repayment plan.
Rob Edwards' Morley Sports Management Group bought Accies from Seref Zengin in January after a turbulent 18 months, which involved multiple points deductions and relegation from the Championship following a series of rule breaches.
Players had threatened to go on strike earlier this season over unpaid wages as Hamilton fought to avoid insolvency.
Accies intend to return to New Douglas Park from next season, having played at Broadwood in Cumbernauld this term.
On the pitch, Hamilton finished second bottom of their division after points deductions totalling 21. They subsequently entered the League 1 play-offs and survived by beating Clyde in the final.
Speaking on the latest development, Hamilton owner Edwards said: "I am delighted that what was our last major hurdle has finally been overcome, allowing us to focus fully on the future.
"With our return to New Douglas Park on the horizon, season tickets now on sale, and work already well underway to build a competitive squad for the season ahead, we believe the club is now in a much stronger position to move forward positively and build something truly special."
