Glamorgan paceman Fazalhaq Farooqi will miss the remainder of their T20 Blast campaign after being recalled by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB).

The 25-year-old signed in March and played in the opening two games of this season's competition.

Farooqi claimed four wickets in the defeat against Northamptonshire Steelbacks and took a further two wickets in the loss to Gloucestershire.

Glamorgan said they fully respected the ACB's decision to recall Farooqi and wished the player well with his national team.

He was one of three overseas players in their T20 Blast squad alongside Australian all-rounder Nathan McAndrew and South African batter Colin Ingram.

Only two can play in any match and McAndrew is set to make his debut when they host Somerset on Friday (18:30 BST).
