New Lancashire CEO Kenyon to lead review of club

Incoming chief executive Richard Kenyon is to lead a review of Lancashire's cricket operation and performance structure.

Kenyon, who spent more than a decade at Everton, will officially take over the role from Daniel Gidney on 5 October after a 10-month spell as Nottinghamshire chief executive.

The review will build on last week's restructure which confirmed the departure of director of cricket performance, Mark Chilton, and director of women's cricket, David Thorley.

It will assess Lancashire's "performance environment", including staff and player contracts, resources, and the pathway from academy to first team.

Lancashire finished second-bottom of Division Two in the County Championship, bottom of the T20 Blast table, and failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the One-Day Cup.
