'Yma o Hyd' blasts around the Marriott Hotel - a song which has become something of a second Welsh national anthem in recent years.

The song's singer, Dafydd Iwan, will sing Lauren Price into the ring tomorrow, in a spectacle the Cardiff crowd are sure to love.

Thankfully everyone has made weight. All that's left is the fighting.

That's the fights on the BBC iPlayer sorted, now onto the big two on BBC Two from 20:00 BST.

Rhys Edwards and Gully Powar had a very different approach to the press conference on Thursday, with the Welshman laughing in the face of his opponent.

Powar meanwhile did not crack a smile, a man totally focused on the job at hand.

I would be surprised if this face off is any different.

It just got a little chippy in here as Lewys Parfitt and Morgan McIntosh came face-to-face after their weigh ins.

At yesterday's press conference Parfitt was a man a few words, but he and McIntosh were happy to exchange some words in front of the crowd here today.

The winner will be taking home the Welsh Area Welterweight Championship.

  7. 'Only Lauren can match her' - Price in talks to fight Shieldspublished at 13:30 BST 3 April

Lauren Price v Stephenie Pineiro (Saturday, 21:00 BST)

Yesterday it was confirmed that Lauren Price is in talks with Claressa Shields over a fight in 2026.

Price is preparing to defend her WBA, IBF and WBC belts against challenger Stephanie Pineiro at the Utilita Arena tomorrow.

The former Olympic champion, from Bargoed, is looking to maintain her perfect 10-0 record, but already has one eye on the next step in her career.

Undisputed heavyweight champion Shields is expected at ringside and Price says a bout could happen "sooner than people think".

"I want to be a multi-weight world champion and I want the biggest fights," said Price.

Biggest cheer - so far at least - of the afternoon is for Tir-y-berth's Kyran Jones, who has a professional record of 13-0.

The Welshman has clearly invited a few friends down to the Marriott Hotel this afternoon, and they are making themselves heard.

Yesterday this huge conference suite at the Marriott Hotel felt half empty, with just the media, fighters and their respective camps allowed in attendance.

Today is a totally different experience, with hundreds of fans packed into the back of the room behind members of the press.

It is just a glimpse of the excitement around the Welsh capital for tomorrow's stacked card.
