Penybont qualified for Europe for a third time by winning last season’s play-off final

Penybont and Caernarfon Town have been knocked out in the first qualifying round of the Uefa Conference League after losing away second legs.

Bont, trailing 1-0 after losing the first leg at Cardiff City Stadium, were beaten 3-0 at Santa Coloma of Andorra and had Ethan Cann sent off in the first half.

Pedra Munoz scored the opener after 20 minutes and second-half goals from Alex Gomez and Kun Temenuzhkov completed a 4-0 aggregate win.

It was the second time in three years that Santa Coloma had eliminated Penybont from the Conference League.

Trailing Levadia Tallinn 5-0 from the first leg, Caernarfon conceded after just four minutes with Enock Otoo opening the scoring for the hosts.

Brazilian forward Wendell doubled their lead before Joao Pedro scored the third from the penalty spot after Wendell was fouled by Chris Marriott.

Goals in the final 20 minutes from Bubacarr Tambedou and Mihkel Ainsalu sealed a 5-0 win on the night, a 10-0 success on aggregate.
