Global stock markets have risen and the oil price has fallen, after President Trump again said the war against Iran could be over in a couple of weeks. He also claimed Iran had asked for a ceasefire which Washington would consider if the Strait of Hormuz was opened. Iran's foreign ministry described the claim as false and baseless.
