Shrewsbury Prison owners buy the Buttermarket

The owner of the Shrewsbury venue, Martin Monahan, has agreed to sell the venue after 15 years at the helm. The live music and events venue will become part of the Cove Group, who already run the town's former Dana Prison. Cove Group chief executive Joel Campbell said the company had "ambitious plans" for the site while preserving the qualities that made it popular.
