How long would you expect to wait for an ambulance?

Available for over a year

Roseanna Leconte speaks to 88 year old John Heys about his experience of waiting for patient transport. The health department says for non-emergencies, such as going home from hospital, people should try to make their own arrangements, such as asking friends or relatives, or using public transport or taxis. But it says that if you are worried about getting to an appointment on time you should talk to your doctor as early as possible so they can try to help. It wants to make sure that it can look after the people who need it the most.
