Join BBC Journalist, Mat Trewern and BBC Radio Manchester Presenter, Michelle Dignan, as they follow this major criminal trial from day one. In this episode, ahead of the prosecution opening speech, Mat and Michelle, speak to Dr Hannah Fawcett, a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University to find out what it’s like to be a member of a jury on a major criminal trial. The trial will follow a husband from Stockport accused of plotting with 13 other men to drug and rape his wife, multiple times. The husband and the 12 other co-defendants – who all deny the charges - will stand trial at the same time, at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court. One man has already pleaded guilty to all charges he faced.
