What next for 'UK's saddest shopping centre'?
Need To Know Hereford & WorcesterAvailable for over a year
Wychavon District Council has given the green light for demolition of the Riverside Shopping Centre in Evesham. Only one of its 40 outlets is in use. Campaigners hope the site will be given a new lease of life. Councillor Emma Kearsey is the deputy leader of Wychavon District Council and has been an active part of this process since the start. She tells Elliott Webb why a combination of affordable housing and retail space is the future and that there is public pressure to turn part of the site in to a bowling alley. The council is working with regeneration specialists 'Savills' and hope to bring forward new plans for the site in 2028.
