New waste dump discovered off the A47
Available for over a year
Councillors say a pile of waste dumped on land near Hinckley will cost taxpayers "hundreds of thousands of pounds" to clear up. Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council said it was notified of the waste dump on its land off the A47 Leicester Road between Hinckley and Earl Shilton on 5 August, and it amounted to the largest fly-tip it ever had to deal with. Ady Dayman spoke to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council Deputy Leader, Mark Bools, about exactly what’s been uncovered. Image: Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council
