Foodbank's supplies 'grown by crematorium'

Available for over a year

Discover how Wyre Forest Crematorium has been growing vegetables for Kidderminster Foodbank for the past two years, using previously unused land on the site. From cauliflowers to potatoes, tomatoes and even eggs from rescued chickens, the crematorium grows the fresh food under large polytunnels on site. Gill Moore, the business leader for Wyre Forest Crematorium and Cemetery, tells Malcolm Boyden how their aim is to bring the community closer together. Nina Price is the manager of Kidderminster Foodbank, which has moved to a new, larger unit on Worcester Street.
