The stone circle built by hand

Secret Surrey
Contains scenes of drug use.

Available for over a year

In the 1990s, Eleanor Anstruther opened her land on Hascombe Hill to a growing community of people seeking an alternative way of life. They gathered for pagan ceremonies and built a stone circle by hand. Life on the hill was idyllic – but as the community expanded, so did tensions, ending in accusations of witchcraft, fractured loyalties and the loneliness of a site slowly reclaimed by nature. Contains brief mentions of drug use in a historical context. Image courtesy of craigdenfordphotography.co.uk
