Celebrating 100 years of UK black music with DJs Shortee Blitz and Beat a Maxx mixing a mash-up of over 200 artists and tracks over 6 episodes. This first show introduces the series and kicks off the party with a unique mix of the Jazz, Swing and Calypso trailblazers of the 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s. Each episode is a whistle-stop tour of the genre-defining anthems and deep cuts from different eras and genres led by visionary black singers, musicians, rappers and producers. Produced by the BBC.
