A new BBC Three documentary, The Trials of Pa Salieu, follows him at a pivotal moment as he rebuilds his career, navigates probation, and works towards a major comeback performance. With rare access to his family, his creative process and his reflections on the future, the film paints a vivid picture of an artist fighting his way back to the stage. He's been speaking to BBC CWRs Lorna Bailey, about his changing direction and why now felt like the right time to open his doors to a camera crew.
