Lady Rolleston and the street boys from Leicester

Secret Leicestershire

Available for over a year

A local charity called LCH (“Leicester Children’s Holidays”) began life in the 19th century thanks to the visionary Lady Rolleston. It started life in "Shaftesbury House" near St Nicholas Circle – taking care of young people from underprivileged backgrounds - and is still going strong today as BBC Leicester’s Ben Jackson found out.
