Leicester's Haymarket Theatre is 50

Ady Dayman

Available for over a year

Leicester's Haymarket Theatre is celebrating its 50th birthday. It's a venue soaked in history, but it's just re-opened as a learning space for students at the local 'Addict Dance Academy'. Over the years some of the most famous names in drama have performed there. Michael Windsor is the voice of Basil Brush, one of children's televisions most well known puppets. Michael's theatre career began at the Haymarket, where he met Sandy Iliff who was also auditioning for the musical 'Oliver'. Michael and Sandy explain to Ady Dayman how significant a venue the Haymarket Theatre has been for Leicester, and for performers that have appeared on stage there.
