Ghana tourism authority: 'We have to push ourselves'

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Tourism in Ghana has seen a significant rise since 2019, largely due to the year of return campaign- a strategy targeting African and Caribbean tourists in the diaspora to visit and invest in the country. One of the main bodies responsible for rolling out the campaign is Ghana's Tourism Authority. The organisation is currently in its 50th year of operation. The BBC's Mark Wilberforce spoke to the CEO of the GTA, Akwasi Agyeman and asked him why he was in the UK. (Picture: Akwasi Agyeman, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority (L). Credit: BBC)
