As we mark the 50th anniversary of the first arrivals of Ugandan Asians into Leicester, several events are taking place; including a performance at the Curve. But another incredible story of one Leicestershire family is also taking place behind the scenes. After starting acting at the age of three, Rahul Gandabhai was chosen to perform in Billy Elliot. But, whilst his dad Prashant took him to the rehearsals, he was also invited to perform in a different show at the Curve.
