Looking after mums' mental health

Stuart George

Available for over a year

Anxious, isolated and scared to leave the house, that’s how some new mums from Staffordshire have described having a baby in lockdown. Doesn't sound much like the 'newborn bubble' that new parents float around in, albeit sleep deprived and slightly dazed. One study suggests 6 in 10 new mums were concerned about their own mental health during the pandemic. Lee Thomas speaks to Karen Middleton from the Maternal Mental Health Alliance
