My Deutschland Dilemma: Poland

PM

Available for over a year

It's decision time for Adrian Goldberg. It's the final episode of his series where he's been exploring whether he should get a German passport. His father was German and Adrian, like many others, is exploring his European ancestry for the freedoms it would continue to grant him even after the UK leaves the EU. To make his decision he's travelled to his father's hometown, Raciborz which is now in Poland due to border changes. Adrian's father, as a Jew under attack from the Nazis, had to flee the city when he was 13 just before the Second World War broke out. So can re-discovering those roots help him decide whether or not to become German?
